Last book photo for a while, I think. This one I accidentally pre-ordered twice. Trying to figure out what to do with the second one. (Not sure if the library is accepting donations again yet.)
I'm still hoping I stumble across something special to wind things up tomorrow, but this was pretty nifty - I have no idea where the deer was hiding, because I went from just the heron in the shot to 'wait, is that...?'
It was just past high tide when we were out this evening, and we were not the only ones enjoying the fine weather. There were easily a dozen turtles in this one small area. (Most likely Diamondback Terrapins, before anyone asks.)
Alas, my phone camera was not quite up to this closeup. This is a teeny, tiny little hopping insect perched on my leg while I was sitting out of an evening. You can't really tell, but he's looking at me just as much as I'm looking at him.
No, this is not a new creative way of saying I forgot to take a photo. This is what happens when after a long and exhausting day, I remember when I'm already in bed that I have not yet taken a photo, fumble for my phone, and snap a photo. This is what it looks like right before I fall asleep.
