*thumbsup* They look very sturdy and healthy! Siljan has a cold frame since his last birthday, so this year, we'll be able to get tomato plants much earlier than usual, and therefore have a good chance of actually getting the varieties I want. I'm looking forward to how this is going. Honestly, if I'd realised when planning our house that we wouldn't have sensible spaces to pre-raise veggies inside I'd planned the basement windows differently or something. As it is, we don't have windows with windowsills where the light is sufficient - due to our triple glazing I'd need to place them right at the window -, and putting them on the floor isn't possible with our furry garden helpers...
The tomatoes are running rampant, and I hope they're developing nice root systems to match the visible growth. One of my tasks today is to set up a grow light shelf in the basement, as the tomatoes have outgrown all the other seedlings and I can't accommodate both under the starter light they're currently sharing. (My sister used to have an extensive orchid collection, so all I need to do is hang the light fixtures back up on the empty shelves downstairs, adjust the height as I see fit, and set up the timer.)
