P365.2, Day 88 - Summer's last hurrah

There are still flowers out, but fall foliage and berries are taking over.



And the fungi. Don't forget the fungi...





I passed this turtle 3 times, and unlike most of his compatriots, he was not moving, no way, no how, no sir! (Most other turtles take to the water with the grace and subtlety of cannonballs.)

I did see the usual ospreys, and a bald eagle (no good photo, alas) but today I spotted something I don't notice as often - a hawk. I think they're generally around but just quieter and harder to spot than the larger raptors.
The otters were out today, as was a rather grumpy beaver, but no good photos to show for any of them.
