Wooden ornaments are traditional in Germany. Not sure, but this one looks laser cut. (Also, yes, it spins.)
I have not taken my tree down yet, partly because I am feeling lazy but also because with as much unpleasantness as there is in the world right now, I am not inclined to remove something I like looking at. The tree is still in good condition and not dropping needles, so I don't need to get it outside. Also, thanks to QI, I am informed that Christmas used to last more than 12 days. It went until Candlemas. So I could leave it up until Groundhog Day and claim I'm being traditional.

Date: 2020-01-09 03:01 am (UTC)I'm a bit surprised how well the tree is holding up - usually by Christmas Eve, the tree has been at the garden center for several days at least, and they don't keep them in water.
