Adulting means getting candy to be prepared for trick or treaters. Even if you live so far out there are no trick or treaters. (And it would be irresponsible not to do quality control on the candy...)

I always buy candy for Halloween and St. Martin's Day, just in case someone accidentally ends up down our end of the street (hasn't happened in the past 12 years, but you never know!). I rarely get around to doing quality control, though - the kids take care of that! XD

The spousal unit is so good at quality control that I always need to count that in when getting anything sweet for any occasion... *g* But yes, quality control is a must!
