That's lovely! I do hope you had some shelter during the hailstorm, though...

It was! I couldn't believe I was the only one who stopped to take a photo of it - maybe everyone else was just too happy to be past the hail?

I was driving during the hailstorm, and as it was only little hailstones, I kept right on, as I figured that would get me out of it sooner than pulling off would.

Maybe the others were Icelanders and too accustomed to this kind of beauty to pay attention anymore? *g*

It did seem very Icelandy. It was an excellent end to the day.

Oooh, how beautiful is that? What an awesome shot! It totally looks like a landscape painting from the 19th century realism or so.

It is! (Still can't believe I was the only one who pulled off to take a photo!) It was an excellent way to tie a bow on my Iceland adventure.
