Oropher is surprisingly laid back, most especially compared to his son, Thranduil. I can’t help but picture Thranduil looking like Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy, right down to the sneer and the stick up his backside. And Belthil getting tagged with “Uncle Hijinx” just made me snort my water when I giggled. Poor Thranduil seems to have gotten all of the angst genes in that particular pool of Lindar/Sindar.
