Is the fainting for Buffy's method of working off her mad, or for Buffy being a decent cook? (She's had about two hundred years to figure it out at this point...)
Tulkas has a fairly good idea of what the full Buffy experience looks like - and that she's not quite ready for a head to head matchup with Morgoth just yet. He counts this as practice. (Glorfindel was at the other end of the canyon, and Maglor was a little busy dying to see her grab the whip.)
Maeglin never actually saw Fingolfin alive until Aman - that bit was more 'anyone who had seen Fingolfin before his ride to Morgoth would recognize'.
