You're welcome! Gandalf doesn't lay out what specific arguments Saruman made when he first discovered the Necromancer was Sauron. But I think this is a good guess at what he used, based on what Gandalf relates him saying at other times. I don't imagine he made up new reasoning every time!
It never entered my mind that you would in any way be an ass about it! It's just that others on Tumblr have been asses about meta, and it can rear its head well after I've posted whatever it was. (I once got some nasty anons about a meta several months later, I guess it had been reblogged and someone didn't like it?) So I've started doing all meta over here.
