P365.2, Day 13 - Figures

If I had taken the super zoom lens with me on the 1.5 mile hike to the beach and back, I would have seen nothing more than dragonflies and osprey. I did not. Thus, I stumbled across a pair of bald eagles, some unidentified but likely juvenile bird, and a ton of dragonflies.



(No, not the same bird.)

There were definitely two.

These are terrific! Especially the first eagle and the one of sand, rocks, and whatever kind of insect that is (some sort of dragonfly?).

I really wish I'd had the better zoom lens - both eagles were chill and hung out for a while before flying!

Some kind of dragonfly is all I can say for sure. There were lots of dragonflies around, all sorts.

Unless you're traveling light by need, always pack the equipment. Invariably, you get the best conditions and the best subjects when you're not fully equipped. :-p I think it's one of Murphy's Laws of Photography, which there absolutely should be if there isn't. I love the shots you did get, though.

I was traveling light by 'it's hot as balls and I twisted my wrist yesterday, I don't want to lug an extra 5lbs out and back if there's no good reason'. The lens was in the car.
