Setting up here because it seems like LJ has finally gone too far with its TOS changes.

Maybe I need to dig up the 'how to archive your LJ' posts that were floating around back when the kerfluffle that led to AO3 hit. (Yep, I'm fandom old.) I may not delete my account, but it might be time to do a serious slash and burn on what's still there.

And yes, I'm a bit slow. I've had a couple weeks straight of very long days at work and as such hadn't checked in there since before the TOS changes hit.

If you click the 'Help/Support' link at the top right side of the DW home page, you'll see that DW has a good section of information on transitioning between LJ and this site. There's also a specific community for lj_refugees where you can ask specific questions. Hopefully, that will be all you need, because I'm still using those after a few years myself (I don't post all that much). :-}

You chose the right time, actually. There was quite a crush of people trying to back up their LJ journals to DW, but now things have normalized a bit and, without the long queue, it should be more straightforward.
