(On a related note, does anyone know of any good icon makers/comms these days? Most of my old LJ ones are no longer active. Yes, I can make my own icons, but in practice 'make icons' usually slides so far down the priority list that I never get to it.)

This is Anariel's crest in my Daughters of Celebrian 'verse. Anariel made it by combining the crests of a bunch of her ancestors, basically just to have something to taunt Sauron with during the Ring War. She doesn't actually care much about such things outside of that one specific instance. (It's the sun of Finwë over the star of Eärendil, with various of her grandmothers between the rays - including Nerdanel.)
I keep a bunch of icons of interesting signs. This one is so useful because it can be read straight or sarcastic.
Women dressed to kill wielding various implements of destruction. What's not to like? Sometimes I use this icon for actual household work/DIY stuff. Other times, it's the icon equivalent of the murder strut.
