Third time's the charm?
Aug. 1st, 2017 04:57 pmJust contacted Book Depository. I am having the worst luck trying to get my hands on Beren & Luthien.
I initially pre-ordered it from Amazon. A few weeks after the release, Amazon cancelled the pre-order without explanation. Then I ordered from Book Depository, ordering another book (the latest Bryant & May paperback) at the same time. Both books shipped separately in June. The Bryan & May book arrived. Beren & Luthien didn't. I allowed a full month from the ship date, queried the post office to make sure it wasn't still lurking back in the sorting office somewhere with someone having forgotten to put an 'item too large for box' notice into my mailbox, but no luck.
Book Depository are sending a replacement. Cross your fingers for me, all.
Edit to add Am now trying to explain to BD rep that actually, I just need a replacement Beren & Luthien, Bryant & May made it from their warehouse to my bookshelf in the usual way.
