Pretty sizable - I'd say about as long as my thumb. (Like, the whole thumb, not just to the knuckle.)

We have one of those things in our yard, too! Last time one showed up, we called it Ungoliant.

Heh. Fortunately, this isn't in my yard, this is as seen Out And About. But I don't know that I'd call her Ungoliant - too pretty! (From a safe distance, of course.)

Very beautfiul, but OMG, what a BIG THING! 8oO (Of course, I'm used only to these having a body as large as my thumbnail max. Central-European wuss, I know. ^^ )

Holy Crap, that's a big spider! It is pretty, though, much prettier than the big, hairy tarantulas I used to run across in the foothills of California back when.
