You did say it wasn't graphic, so I trusted that (you're one of the few authors I do trust for warnings and such). Also, part of it is not being blindsided and hit out of the blue when I don't have a chance to distance myself and just skim/skip further into the story without taking in details. It's a fantastic thing to be able to view what I read in my mind as if I were in a virtual reality setting, but that stops being fun when it puts me back in the interview room taking victim statements and having to gently question and pull out every single detail down to whether or not the subject had a distinctive odor. Those are things I do my best to forget, but reading/watching such things just brings the victims and the details that go with the faces to the forefront of my mind. Definitely the kind of fun that is not.
