P365 2023, Day 17 - Plotting Revenge

Meet the chocolate mint. I forgot to water it for a month. It is not dead, and in true mint form, trying to climb into the basil pots. I am more vigilant with both the water and the redirecting it to its own pot now.

Oh I forgive chocolate mint everything... but mine didn't forgive me, went into a sulk, and died to spite me. (I mean, it's mint, that stuff colonises, it doesn't die!)

Good luck with yours!

I have Powers, clearly. (If only I used them for good and not for evil!)

Oh, another person mint dies on! I believed myself to be the only one. Turns out the only mint that, so far, thrived in our garden was the bergamotte mint I got at castle Villandry in the Loire valley (it tastes horribly but looks really pretty, and is such a cool souvenir at that) and in turn nearly did kill the wild rose we planted it under. (I didn't know back then that this hadn't been a good idea.) I get two or three harvests of lemon verbena every year despite having less than ideal wintering options for it, and my rosemary doesn't know it's not frost-hardy and thrives even after five days of -12°C last December, but mint? *wails* *sympathetic high-five to you*

As long as those two don't cross-breed... *ggg* How cool that it's still alive and making itself known there!
