Alas, none of my attempts at photos on the road today came out well. Have a closeup of a marble instead. (Now that I'm not in a hotel room, there's a bit more scope for last-minute photos.)

Ooooohhhhh! If you ever decide to make glass beads with that color scheme and appear to have depth like that, I call first dibs to buy them! I have the fine silver wire, but those would be worth buying some good yellow-gold filled wire to go with.

And I agree with everyone else, that's a Pocket Palantir. :) bunn's comment made me snort coffee out of my nose, thank gods I take mine milky these days.
