P365.3, Day 1 - Shiny and New

Yes, the tree is still up. When you don't put it up or decorate it until Christmas Eve, keeping it up until Twelfth Night isn't bothersome. In practice, it will probably stay up until the weekend.

♥ Ours will be taken down tomorrow, as by tradition. In some years we might even let it up longer as it always feels too short - and, of course, it only goes up on the 23rd or 24th, not earlier. But this year it's already badly shedding. We're also thinking about getting an alterantive one; not a plastic fir tree but a wooden one, or rather a somewhat tree-shaped wooden framework to put our candles and decorations on, to not use a real one. We're getting it from the brother-in-law of our egg-and-potato-farmer who raises them locally, but I'm no longer really comfortable with that either... on the plus side, such a tree would make having glass ornaments possible, as it'd be possible to make it cat-safe enough for that.
