P365, Day 97 - Stop to smell the flowers

I'm not sure if this was summer's last hurrah (the way the weather is these days, probably not) but the flowers are winding down, so P365 is probably going to be turning a bit more autumnal. I'm trying to hold off on food and indoors photos for a bit longer. (I remember from last time how hard it can be mid-winter to find a photo I haven't taken already.)

That made me laugh! Reminds me of me standing on my front stoop and trying to find something to photograph! It's outrageous.

Exactly - by midwinter, there's so few options unless you get lucky and stumble across something unusual!

If it's legal in your area, you might put out a salt lick for deer and other critters, as well as suet cakes and a bird feeder to attract local fauna to a particularly photogenic part of your yard. If you don't have a telephoto lens, you can use this as an excuse to get one. ;)

We have suet and feeders out for the birds (and somewhat defended against the squirrels.) But I am not about to encourage the deer. Four legged menaces are bad enough as it is.
