I love your characterizations of Elrond and Celbrían and her subtle reminder of the Teleri/Lindar, but the visuals of this story completely ate my brain. You've put so many images into my mind, I can't help but wish I could set up a water feature with abalone shells near a window that would let in moonlight to reflect silver and blue on one side while the other reflects the reds and golds of a fireplace set in the opposite corner of the room. Sort of a diminished echo of Henneth Annûn and an even further diminished echo of the mingled light of the Two Trees. Thank you for writing and sharing this, it really is lovely.
